Are there any age or health restrictions for ballooning?

  1. Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for hot air ballooning. However, children must be at least 7 years old and over 4’ 6” tall (1.4 M), and accompanied by an adult. Some sources suggest a minimum age of 5 years old.

  2. Weight Limit: There is usually a weight limit for passengers. The person should weigh less than 300 pounds (about 136 kg). If a passenger is overweight, the hot air balloon ride might be uncomfortable.

  3. Health Conditions: Passengers must be sufficiently agile to climb in and out of the basket, which is about 42 inches (1.1 M) high. Certain medical conditions may also affect a person’s ability to participate in a hot air balloon ride. It’s always best to check with the balloon company and your doctor if you have any health concerns.

Remember, safety is the top priority in hot air ballooning, and these restrictions are in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
