Cappadocia has not only fascinating landscapes, ancient cave dwellings or underground cities. Our hometown lies a centuries old tradition wellness, catharsis and rejuvenation. According to Archaeological excavation and research we found several Ancient Hammam and Bath around the Cappadocia. So, we have long standing background about wellness and cleaning traditions from Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman Empire Ages.
We have combined traditional Hammam experience and traditional healing practices with world class SPA bathrooms. Cappadocia is standing wide open space volcanic area. Thanks to this reason we have mineral-rich water resources and volcanic soils.
However, if you get enough satisfaction and feast for your eyes in unique nature, it is time to get some wellness and purification for your souls and body.
Turkish Bath has immense positive effect to your body. This is beneficial for your body and mental position. Your blood circulation will be accelerated in each step of bath house’s rooms. The stem will open your bores and you will throw off your old skin. Thus, you will have a shiny and new body.
You could see similar architecture manners both from Roman and Ottoman style. These traditional architectural orders form the basis of today’s Turkish bath. The Classical Turkish bath consists of four parts. Apodyterium, Frigidarium, Tepidarium and Caldarium.
Apodyterium: Where you could change your clothes. This word comes from Greek language, and it means undressing room. Here is neither cold nor hot place. You need to wear “peshtemal” which means thin fabric towel in Turkish Baths.
Caldarium: Welcome to warmest place of hammam. This room designed for hot and humid environment for vanish death skin. We call this room Sauna as well. In Roman architecture order this room was raised platform with terra-cotta hypocaust system. This room could be too hot sometimes, so we don’t recommend to stay here more than you need.
Frigidarium: As you will understand from the name this is a cold room in bath house. We recommend to you visit this room after having hot water. This will rejuvenate your body and close the pores. You will feel like newborn.
Tepidarium: This room has standard room temperature, so you can get rest, relieve from tiredness. There you will see central massage platform from marble, where is fully sanitized, and you could get traditional Turkish Massage on it.
Health & Safety Conditions
- If you are full or if you just eat meal, we recommend waiting couple of hours for digest your food. In addition, if you are starving.
- If you had sun-burnt or skin-damage we don’t recommend.
- If you have shortness of breath and respiratory distress we don’t recommend.
- If you have a heart disease we don’t recommend.
- Please remove all your jewelry and contact lenses before Turkish Bath. We will provide safety box for you.
- If you feel drunk or under effect of pills we don’t recommend.
- You could bring your own slippers, towel, swimsuit or we could provide inside. Please do not walk inside the hammam without slippers. Marble floors are always wet.
- We recommend wearing clean dresses after Turkish Bath.
- We use standard white soap. If you have skin allergy or sensitiveness for this product you could bring your own shampoo and body washer.
- If you are pregnant, we don’t recommend.
